A Montana native, Ann worked as the official court reporter in Helena for the Montana Workers’ Compensation Court and in Butte as the official court reporter for the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Montana. Upon leaving the court system, Ann opened Wayrynen Court Reporting Service and worked independently as a freelance court reporter, having occasion to report depositions, public hearings, inquests, arbitration hearings, and contract work in the United States District Court for the District of Montana. Ann is a past president of the Montana Court Reporters Association and continues membership in both the Montana Court Reporters Association and the National Court Reporters Association. Chris joined Ann in 1986 and Wayrynen & Lively Court Reporting Service was formed. Presently, as contract court reporter for the Second Judicial District, Ann has extensive experience in reporting civil and criminal hearings and trials. Ann is married and has three grown children. She enjoys running, skiing, cycling, and traveling.
Chris will celebrate her fortieth year of reporting in May of 2018. She began her career as an Official Court Reporter serving judges in both State District Courts and United States District Courts. Chris became a Registered Professional Reporter in 1981 and has continued to take the necessary Continuing Education classes to keep that designation. Since joining Ann and forming Wayrynen & Lively Court Reporting Service in 1986, she has reported depositions, arbitrations and trials. Chris has been a member of the National Court Reporters Association and the Montana Court Reporters Association for the entirety of her career and is a Past President of the Montana association. She has two grown children and an infant grandson. Chris likes to spend as much time on the Big Hole River as our climate in Montana allows and enjoys 4-wheeling, attending plays and concerts, reading and traveling.
